George Howson (priest) : ウィキペディア英語版 | George Howson (priest) George John Howson〔(NPG details )〕 (1 May 1854 – 20 May 1943) was an Anglican archdeacon. Howson's father John Howson was Dean of Chester from 1867 to 1885. He was educated at Liverpool College; Haileybury College; and Trinity College, Cambridge. He was ordained in 1878.〔Crockford's Clerical Directory1929-30 p643 Oxford, OUP,1929〕 After a curacy in Maidstone he held incumbencies in Overton, Crewe, Salford, Crumpsall, Southport and Woolton.〔‘HOWSON, Ven. His son, also George Howson, was the founder and chairman of the Royal British Legion Poppy Factory. His younger brother James Howson (1856–1934) was Archdeacon of Craven from 1928 to 1934. ==Notes==
